Luis Aaron Martinez, Ph.D.

Dr. Luis Aaron Martinez is the director of the firm Sustainability & Research S.A., he has also served as a professor and researcher in El Salvador and the United States.

He earned a Doctorate (Ph.D.) in Mechanical Engineering, University of Illinois at Urbana-Champaign, USA, 2009. Areas: Simulation and Energy Optimization and Building Economic doctoral thesis: energy-moisture "Simplified floor-area-based -economic model for residential buildings ".

Luis Aaron Martinez earned his Master (M.Sc.) in Mechanical Engineering, University of Illinois at Urbana-Champaign, U.S.A., 2007. Area of ​​specialization: Solar energy integrated buildings Thesis: "Simulation of Energy Solar Decathlon House"

Earned degree in Mechanical Engineering from the Universidad Centroamericana (UCA) in El Salvador. Thesis: "Opportunities for energy conservation in a geothermal power plant by analyzing exergy." Degree in Finance, Universidad Centroamericana "Jose Simeon Canas".

He conducted studies of energy efficiency (energy audits) for a dozen public and private institutions of the State of Illinois, including office buildings, apartments, restaurants, hotels, supermarkets and studies of solar and wind energy.

He has experience since 2003 in consulting in energy efficiency in buildings and industry, emphasizing, among its customers, IDB, GTZ, UNDP, BCIE, National Energy Board, LaGeo, McDonald's Corporation, Amdocs, State of Illinois, between others. He has made about thirty modeling studies and energy efficiency in the United States, Guatemala and El Salvador, in commercial, public, institutional and industrial buildings. He has published about ten research in international conferences and journals. He is an active member of professional associations ASHRAE, ASME and IBPSA.



Ing. Yves Camelot Cardoza Colindres
Project Manager

Yves Camelot Cardoza Colindres is the project manager of Sustainability & Research S.A. de C.V. He is a mechanical engineer, who obtained his degree from Universidad Centroamericana “José Simeón Cañas” (UCA) in El Salvador, becoming one of the top students of his class. He was awarded a scholarship based on academic achievements throughout his undergraduate studies.

He has experience since 2011 in the development of energy efficiency consulting for commercial and industrial clientes, including IDB, GTZ, INE, BCIE, Consejo Nacional de Energía, ITCHA, Citibank, Constructora Conconcreto, among others. He has an international publication with ASME and has been invited to participate in various conferences, both nationally and internationally.

He earned an SCHOLARSHIP in Specialization in Energy Efficiency, the GREENPYME Program of the Inter-American Investment Corporation (IIC), in South Korea; thanks to the alliance with KEMCO group GREENPYME (Korea Energy Management Corporation).





Carlos Mauricio Montoya: Project Engineer

Technical support in conducting diagnostic studies and energy audits, as well as performing modeling of buildings in specialized energy simulation software.

Making CFD (Computational Fluid Dynamics) simulations related to wind flow, natural ventilation and other associated phenomena (such as thermal comfort) through computer simulation.

Technical support in conducting pre-feasibility studies and design of photovoltaic and solar thermal, concerning the sizing of the electrical system in general and shading analysis of the systems.
